Why Add a Bagger to Your Ride-On Mower?

When you buy a ride-on mower, it's worth looking at accessories at the same time. These products can make your mowing experience easier and more efficient.

A bagger should be top of your list. These accessories typically fit on the back of your mower. They have one or more storage units that take in the grass you mow. The grass usually feeds into the units through a suction tube at the side of the machine.

What are the benefits of adding a bagger to your order?

Create the Perfect Lawn

If you don't add a bagger to your mower, then your cut grass stays on the ground. While this is useful if you want to mulch, it doesn't make for a perfect looking lawn. You may need to rake the grass up after each mowing session.

If you attach a bagger, then you do this job automatically as you mow. Cut grass is sucked into the storage units. You simply empty them out when they are full. Your lawn looks neat and tidy; it won't need raking after a cut.

Mulch at the Right Times

It's sometimes useful to leave cut grass on your lawn after a mow. This grass can work as a mulch. It will break down and put its nutrients back into the ground.

However, you won't necessarily want to do this after every mow. Also, there may be times when this is a bad idea. For example, if you have a weedy lawn, then you don't necessarily want to leave seeds on the ground where they can grow into more weeds.

If you have a bagger attachment, you can pick and choose when to use it. So, if you want to mulch, you mow without the attachment. If you don't want or need to leave the grass on the ground, you use the attachment to collect your clippings.

Get Help With Fallen Leaves

If you have a lot of trees around your garden, then autumn will be a busy time for you. If you have a lot of leaves falling on to your grass, then you have to clean them up. This can take a lot of time and effort, and you may be tempted to buy a leaf blower at this stage.

You could clean up these leaves more easily and cheaply by running your mower over your grass with the bagging attachment on. Its suction tube will collect the leaves for you.
